"Weekend Warrior"

I never really understood what people ment by being a weekend warrior. Having gone to school for he past million years on top of working, I never really got weekends off. If I did not have to work I had school work to be done by Monday.
This weekend I feel as though I now understand what being a weekend warrior is. You work hard all week to play hard all weekend. In order to be able to return Monday feeling as though your life is more than just work, one has to erase all trace of what happens during the week during the weekend.
In a good way.
Maybe it was because it ws the weekend of Halloween. Maybe it was because the past few weeks have been so stressfull. Maybe it was because I moved and now have more options easily accessable to me without having to travel an hour to do things with friends.
I had a great weekend, full of seeing people that I have not seen in a while, listening to live music and napping.
Monday will not be so bad, I will have fun memories from the weekend to last me through the week.
With luck you won't want to keep your work week and your weekend separate and in the last few months I've had some fun weekends with my coworkers, like last month when Nick and I went to the Sutro Baths.
