San Francisco

Upon moving to this city I did not know what to expect. It was unchartered teritory, the only other city that I had lived in was Boston. The first few months and actually year was rocky. I thought that up graduating from school I would immediatly move on to somewhere new a different. I did not take to the city at first.
Now, I am going into my third year living in this city and something about it has grown on me. I have decided to now stay. Upon getting a job it has become more real to me that this city that I have grown into, is now home.
As I am getting ready to move into (what is amazingly enough) my second apartment in the city I feel as though I am truely taking the step of "living" in the city. Those of you out there who know that the sunset is not "really" in the city must smile now that I will be diving into it all.

i am so excited for you to be in the hood. you know, SF is a hard city to settle into. took me a couple years too... now i am going on 4 (or is it 5?? hard to believe) and love love it after swearing i wanted to move down South for more easy living. SF and i, we still fight from time to time but she'll always be home to me.

Distance in San Francisco is tricky. I think when we both lived in Santa Cruz we were further apart, but here that three miles out to the outer sunset might as well be a different city (OK, there is a mountain in the way and who knows how many different micro-climates)
