Went to an amazing photo gallery (Space Gallery, 1141 Polk St.) opening last night. The man Ben Sandler, had been documenting the movement of people in order to build one of the worlds largest dams. It was amazing to see the faces of people who could not return to their home land ever again. He caught them in the act of everyday life while around them construction and demolition was going on. Selling eggs on the steps of a building scheduled to be blown up the next day.

It was not until last year that I found an interest in the Asian continent. It was always too large and over populated for my taste. However, in learning about the monsterous dams that China has built and is planning to build I want to go.

So glad right now though, to be living in a city that is full of life and wants to keep the people knowledged about what is going on in the rest of the world.
