Same Faces Different Lives

It is so interesting to look at a face that you have not seen for years. And have it be the same face. The other side is to look at a person that you used to see everyday and not recognize them five years later. What a trip it is to return to my home town around the holidays. So many people that have gone so many differnt ways come home to or come out of the wood work.

I am glad to not live in my home town anymore. It will be a nice place to come back to after my life travels and entertainments but there is just nothing for me here now. I return to see my parents and grandmother for the obiligtory twice a year visit. It is a truely beautiful here landscape , other than that the beauty is gone.

To catch up with people is nice at times, at other times there is a reason why I live a few thousand miles away. It always makes me feel like a kid again when I return home no matter how old I am.

Not always a bad thing but the old frustrations come flooding back after the first few days.

Out the other night, there was a point we sort of compared how much alcohol it took each of us to deal with our families.

I don't think I went more than 5 minutes without a glass of wine in my hand.

It's cold here and may feel strange at times, but Vermont loves you and I do too!
